Weather: The best climate in Europe!
Nerja enjoys its own micro-climate and is sunnier, drier and warmer than the Costa del Sol west of Málaga. With 323 sunny days per year, and mild winters, it is the ideal year-round resort. Drive east towards Motril and you will pass through sugar-cane fields which are to be seen nowhere else in Europe. Avocados and even bananas grow well in the surrounding area.
